Pest Management Division Pre Certified Applicator Training

Are you looking to become a Certified Pesticide Applicator in the State of Arizona?
Are you already a licensed applicator that needs CEUs?

This training will prepare you for the National Pesticide Applicator’s Core Certification Exam. You will learn the CORE foundations, ornamental and turf (O&T) and right-of-way (ROW). State and Federal laws and regulations are taught, as well as steps for preparing for, applying for, and scheduling the Certified Applicators exam. Lunch is included in registration.

This two-day training program teaches the following topics:

• IPM strategies
• Labeling and formulations
• Pesticide safety
• First aid and emergency response
• Federal and state laws and regulations
• Exercises in calibration, mixing, and applications
• Regional weed identification and management strategies
• Ornamental and turf pest and pathogen identification

Our training program covers the essential tools required for a PMD certification. From pesticide safety to regulatory compliance, our curriculum is designed to provide mastery of how to properly and effectively use pesticides for commercial purposes.

Participants can earn 13 CEUs from the PMD/Department of Agriculture. These units are crucial for maintaining your certification and staying updated with industry standards. CEUs are only available for those taking the training in person.
