The Arizona Certified Landscape Professional (ACLP) is a comprehensive certification program that is designed to elevate the expertise of landscape professionals in Arizona. This certification helps professionals gain the knowledge they need to remain at the forefront of their industry.

Steps to
Certification

$90 Member per Class / $180 Non-Member per Class

$900 Member per ACLP / $1800 Non-Member per ACLP

Step 1:
Complete the 10 mandatory trainings:

  • Annuals & Perennials
  • Irrigation
  • Pesticides & Calibration
  • Plant Identification
  • Plant Problems
  • Safety & Tools
  • Soils & Fertilizer
  • Tree & Shrub Pruning
  • Planting and Tree Staking
  • Turf Care & Installation

Step 2:
Pass their corresponding ACLP Exams with 80% or higher.

Step 3:
Recertification is required every 2 years.

Recertification Process

Each class has a corresponding exam that must be passed with a 80% or higher for completion. Upon participation in the 10 classes and passing their corresponding exams, students become AZ Certified Landscape Professionals. Re-certification every 2 years is required by passing a re-certification exam with 80% or higher. ALCA encourages continuing education through our other programs and offerings.
