
Craig Potter
Craig has been involved in the landscape industry since 1963 when he ran his own landscape maintenance co. to provide funds for a college education. He graduated from ASU in 1970 with a degree in economics thinking he would pursue a career in banking. As fate would have it his first job after college was as an estimator for a large landscape contractor who was instrumental in developing Fountain Hills.
He later parlayed this experience with his business degree to start his own design build firm as well as being chief residential landscape designer for one of the largest, & most successful landscape contractors in the state for 24 years. Some of his achievements during this time were:
- Board member of ALCA for 5 years
- President of ALCA for 2 years
- Instrumental in establishing ALCA AWARDS IN EXCELLENCE program
- Designed & installed 24 award winning projects in said program
- Won at least one award during every decade the contest was in place
- Member of judging committee for awards program in 1983
- Founding member ALCA Board of Trustees
- ACLP certified
- SLM certified
- Has completed numerous lighting & irrigation seminars
Craig was head of operations & quality control supervisor for the maintenance division of Landscape Resources using his 40+ years of experience in the landscape industry to:
- Train employees in correct horticultural practices
- Review job sites on a regular basis to insure quality exceeds industry standards
- Meets with homeowners to insure their complete satisfaction
- Assists homeowners in updating their yards when requested
Craig has gained vast knowledge during his association with ALCA.
