James Carr has worked for BrightView since 2017 and oversees irrigation and water management services in the Southwest Region including San Diego, Orange County, Arizona, Las Vegas and New Mexico. James is also part of BrightView’s Irrigation Training Program.

James has worked in the irrigation industry since 2004. He is passionate about irrigation and education, always maintaining a curiosity and drive to learn and stay ahead of the industry.

He volunteers his time and expertise to assist in developing curriculum and instruct ALCA’s irrigation courses all in an effort to educate and improve the industry standard of irrigation in the state.

Besides earning all of the ALCA certifications that ALCA has to offer (ACLP, SLM and ALCA Certified Irrigation Tech), he also holds many others including:

With all of his wonderful qualifications and his time and dedication to ALCA, James was as ALCA’s Outstanding Landscape Contractor in 2021 and nominated and voted to serve on the 2022 ALCA Board of Directors. James serves at 2023 Board Director of Education.
